Fluorescein oleic acid

Synonym: cis-9-octadecenoic acid fluorescein; FITC-oleic acid.

Oleic acid fluorescein is one of SLT’s fatty acid lipid fluorescein conjugates that is highly hydrophobic. Oleic acid is an un-saturated C18 fatty acid that can interact well with hydrophobic cell membrane or lysome membrane. Fluorescein modified oleic acid has strong green fluorescence with exitation/emission at 494 nm/515 nm. Oleic acid fluorescein thus can be an excellent membrane imaging agent.
