Description:

LC-SMCC, also called Long chain succinimidyl cyclohexane Maleimide, is one of  Nanocs' amine and sulfhydryl reactive crosslinkers. This crossliner is non-cleavable and membrane permeable. It contains an amine reactive NHS ester and a sulfhydryl reactive maleimide group. Compared to other maleimide NHS ester, LC-SMCC has higher stability in aqueous solution because of its cyclohexane bridge. NHS esters react with primary amines at pH 7-9 while the maleimide group reacts with available thiol or sulfhydryl at pH 6.5~7.5 to form stable thioether bonds.

SPDP Crosslinker Description:

Nanocs SnapLink^TM SPDP crosslinker, N–Succinimidyl 3-(2-pyridyldithio) propionic acid, also called N-succinimidyl 3-(2-pyridyldithio)-propionate, or OPSS-NHS, is a short-length crosslinker for amine to sulfhydryl (thiol) conjugation via its NHS-ester and pyridyldithiol reactive groups that form cleavable disulfide bonds with free thiol groups. Nanocs LC-SPDP is a long-length crossliker for amine to sulfhydryl conjugation via its NHS-ester and pyridyldithiol reactive groups that form cleavable disulfide bonds with free thiol groups.

In addition to above hydrophobic SPDP crosslinker, Nanocs also offer water-soluble SPDP crosslinker either with sulfonated NHS (Sulfo-SPDP) or Pegylated SPDP crosslinker, such as our PEG OPSS products. These SPDP crosslinkers are heterobifunctional and thiol cleavable crosslinkers.

Incubate the reaction at room temperature for 2-4 hours or 2-12 hours at 4 degree celcius. The reaction is now ready for purification.
